Today Both C divisions had their West-zone competitions. It was a tough fight for both genders! But they fought well, they did not give up till the final buzzer sounds!

The Basketball Family, our hearts beat as one.

Now, school have already started. Sec 4s and 5s will be having a stress year as they are graduating this year. Therefore Basketball CCA for Sec 4s and 5s have stepped down while Sec 3s have to step up. Eventhough Sec 4s and 5s are leaving this year, they will always stay in our hearts and inside the Basketball Family.

The girls had a Friendly match against Anglo-Chinese JC in school. It was a tough fight against them but we won ! Congratulations to the girls ! The score was 30:42.

Today BBoys vs Nan Hwa Sec. Ang guess who won? Of course AES WON! The score is 37:39. Congratulations for the victory boys! It was a tough fight against them but the BBoys did not give up and still give in their best. They made HISTORY!
But......

The BGirls have lost their Match against New Town Sec. The score was quite close. 20:28. Everyone did their very best! And they deserve a round of applause! It's a good thing that we did not give up till the end. Many of us cried but we will not give up easily, we still continue to train hard. 

Look at this teacher up there? She's the best teacher. She cheered the Bgirls up! She gave us advices when we needed them, she's always here for us, the basketball family, when we needed her. She's the one who make us happy again. 

And of course not forgetting the Teachers who are incharge of basketball too! MR WANG AND MDM SHI HONG! All of the B Division have to thank Mr Wang for doing the stats for us! Mdm Shi Hong is still new since she entered Basketball only this year, but she's a super kind teacher.

AES Girls Basketball Team managed to get Top 20 this year for Cross Country !
3.2km was very tiring but we ran as a team ! We encouraged each other not to give up ! Therefore, we fought to the very end ! It was not easy to catch up but encourging each other really do helps.

Only when you fail, you learn.

Today, the sec 2s and 3s girls went to run at Mac ritchie to train our stamina and see the cross-country route.

Some of us gave up but we encouraged each other and we successfully ran till the end!

It was a great experience for us as it was our first time going there!

Dont give up.

The B Division Girls had their second match last Friday, 27 January 2012. They had a very tough fight against Nanyang Girls. They are a very strong team, but B Divison Girls did not give up and give their all during the match. Eventhough we lost(13-45), the teachers and coach told the girls that they've improved! It's a good thing!  Keep up the good work B Divison Girls. Make the school proud.
All are welcome to support the Girls on their next match which is on 15 February 2012! See you there.

It was a very tough match against Bukit Batok.
Clementi Sports Hall is filled with cheers and anxiousness.

Girl's match against Jurong Sec. 13th Jan, Friday.

The girls lost to JSS, the score was 21:41.

It was a very tough fight against Jurong. But still, we played hard and didn't give up till the end of the game. The girls did a very good job in this match, they encouraged each other during the game. Eventhough the girls lost, they learnt many things.

The B'Div Boys had just played with Kranji Secondary School on Tuesday,10 January 2012.
We won the game, AES:56 KSS:28.

The B'Boys played a good game against Kranji Secondary, but not up to our best standard.Like what our teachers say ''A game won does not mean a good game played but a game lost does not mean a bad game played.'' The boys are always striving to improve their play in the subsequent matches. The top-scorer of the game was Inn Chong with a game high of 14 points, followed by Eugenius: 12 points. We wish the B'Div Boys all the best in their following match on next Tuesday , 17 Janurary 2012.

Christmas Potluck 2011.

AES Girls greeting our Graduated Seniors, coach and teachers.      

On 23 Dec, we had our Christmas potluck. In the morning , we had friendly games with our seniors from previous batch for both girls and boys. Of course the seniors were betterthan us as some of them were MVPs when they were playing basketball during our age. However, it is not about winning the game , its about gaining experience and learning from our mistakes and what the seniors taught us as they have been through more. We really want to thank the seniors for coming back to give us this memorable experience and the lessons they taught us. After the games , it was feast time! We prepared food from home to share with everyone and the seniors. There were many many yummy yummy food but however our appetites were all too big. There weren't enough food for everyone and some people did not cooperate and took more than 2 servings.

After that there was also the gift exchange.

We buy a present, we bring there and we exchange with somebody else.

DAY 1

Our first day of camp, begins with celebrating our teachers' birthday, Ms Pek. 

Both boys and girls have some time to play games together.

DAY 2

Besides trainings, we even went to Bukit Timah Hill on the second day.

 We walked to Bukit Timah Hill from school.

 We even hike up the hill.

 Coach taught us how to warm-up before sprinting up the hill to train our speed.

After Bukit Timah Hill, it is time for us to relax.

We went back to school, wash up and headed to East Coast Park.

It was a very enjoyable day for everyone of us.

DAY 3

It was the last day of camp, both boys and girls have friendly match against NJC.

Everyone did learn something useful after the match.
After the match, we bused back to school and did a debrief before going home.
